Question: When a diamond ring is "enhanced" what does it mean?

It means it's heat treated. It's normal and an accepted practice in the gemstone/ jewelry industry. You CAN find them untreated, but they do cost way more. Watch GemshoppingNetwork on your dish or cable channel. They sell untreated gems and fancy natural colored diamonds as well. I've bought tons of gems from them, they are legit. My yellow diamonds I bought from them were appraised at almost four times what I paid for them. :)
