Question: Is this a good diamond deal? lazare ideal round?
(Posted by: Angirocks on 2010-03-12 08:35:44)
It is a: http:/ / lazarediamonds.com $3750 Lazare Ideal Round .81 G Sl1 I am not basing the price on any typical diamond.. this is a Lazare Ideal cut which looks amazing. Does anyone know of any better? Or better deal? It is actually an SI2 It is not rated through either of those, don't know the other specs, though I have studied it in person under the microscope w/ flouresent light and it is very colorful and beautiful. The reason I went with that size is because I initially wanted a 1 carat but the sales rep told me since it is cut so well it will look bigger. The setting I have chosen is: http:/ / www.tacori.com/ Engagement- Rings/ 2616RD65 Not sure what specs to pick to fit that setting as far as measurements go. I can get a certified GIA diamond through USAA where I am a member, but I am not sure what to narrow it down to specifically. |

Looks like a fair deal and a great diamond. Lazare Ideal Cut Rounds have a good reputation on the other hand GIA certification is comes from a well known lab so that should give you peace of mind. You will defiantly be paying a premium for Tacori as it’s a branded setting. You may be able to get similar styles on line for half he price if that is important to you. I personally LOVE the Whiteflash A Cut Above Diamond. It is the most brilliant cut diamond you can buy in the world and you can really tell when you look at it! You can see more about them here: whiteflash.com Good luck and Congratulations! |

I'm unfamiliar with Lazare. I would not purchase an SI2 without viewing it closely. I tried to pull up this specific diamond and couldn't find it. Then I did a search for better and none have prices. Not a fan of the site, not enough info. Also who graded it? And if its not AGS or GIA then I'd skip regardless. SI1 would be my minimum clarity. I'd go smaller. Check out diamonds that are .69-.82 that is 3/ 4 ct. Also what are the other specs on this diamond? |
