Question: Can i wear my diamond earings to bed and to shower? ...?

My husband bought me some really nice diamond stud earings because my other earings are not daily earings. i have been taking them off everyday and putting them in their box before i shower at night. will they get dull if i just wear them 24/ 365?

In a shower it might feel weird and when your sleeping it could hurt but thats a 1/ 10 chance

They will get a little dull, but you can always shine them. If you want to take the risk of the backs coming off, then go for it.

IF they have screw on backs wear them 24/ 365. If not have them converted to screw on backs and then wear them 24/ 365.

Oh no, diamonds are the hardest mineral. They're fine! You may have to clean them with a nice cleaner to get stuff like soap residue off, but they'll need cleaning occasionally anyway. The metal prongs may not enjoy things like showers, however. You didn't specify the metal, though I'm sure it's quite nice stuff, and shouldn't have much trouble. The earrings shouldn't degrade from this treatment, but they're more likely to get lost this way. Showering and sleeping are activities most likely to separate the backs from the earrings. I would put them away before you start getting ready for your shower every night like you've been doing.

You're very smart for taking them off before you shower. Keep on doing that and they'll be fine. They wont get dull if you clean them every week or so.
